Oman gives field plan OK

Oman has given its approval to the field development plan for a pair of blocks in which Tethys Oil and Mitsui are partners.

The Ministry of Oil & Gas has signed off on the plan for blocks 3 and 4 and, so, an earlier declaration of notice, Tethys said on Wednesday.

It means that the exploration and production terms on the blocks has been extended for another 30 years from the deemed date of discovery which was 20 July 2010.

The block is operated by CC Energy Development with a 50% stake while Tethys holds 30% and Mitsui 20%.
