Slump: Norwegian oil output was about 15% below prognosis during November

Production of oil, natural gas liquids and condensate in Norway fell last month due to maintenance and technical problems at some offshore fields.

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) said liquid production averaged nearly 1.8 million barrels per day during November, about 63,000 bpd less than in October.

It said total oil production on the Norwegian shelf was about 15% below its prognosis for November mainly due to planned maintenance and technical problems on the Gjoa, Njord, Troll and Aasgard fields.

It added that both the Valhall and Hod fields had been shut-in for the entire month as preparations were underway for the start of a new platform.
