Titan prepares for Perth basin double

Perth basin: Titan Energy plans to spud its first of two exploration wells in DR11 later this month

Titan Energy is planning to drill back-to-back exploration wells in its wholly-owned DR11 permit in Western Australia’s onshore Perth basin.

The Australia-listed company said on Monday it was only awaiting final environment approval in order to be granted a drilling permit to drill the two commitment wells, following the WA Department of Mines and Petroleum’s approval of a “five-month suspension of year three and  a corresponding extension of term” for the block.

Titan has already contracted Dominion Drilling’s rig UDR 1500 to drill the two wells and planned to spud the first well, Warradarge-1, later this month.

Warradarge-1 will be drilled to a total depth of about 1500 metres before formation cutting samples…
