MOG gains Aglavizza production licence

Bright figures: MOG chief says Italian output is helping raise other assets

UK junior Mediterranean Oil & Gas (MOG) has secured a production concession for the Aglavizza play onshore central Italy, including the Civita gas discovery.

The AIM-listed outfit said it now expects first production in early 2015 at the seven-square kilometre licence, where estimated proven and probable reserves run to more than a billion cubic feet.

MOG plans a production test at the Civita 1 discovery well this month, where estimated output of around 15,000 standard cubic metres per day is expected from the Tertiary-age sands find, originally made by Eni in 2005.
