Steps to success: Bridge Energy chief eyes higher prospects in 2013

Norwegian junior Bridge Energy has said it will have a hand in three exploration wells in the coming years, including new probes nearby Total’s Garantiana oil find and Wintershall’s Asha Noor discovery.

The Oslo- and AIM-listed outfit is also eyeing new production in 2013 from Taqa Bratani’s Cormorant East field, where first oil is expected later this month after October's Contender discovery.

Chief executive Tom Reynolds said that Bridge Energy had “a wider portfolio of growth options to pursue in 2013” after creating value from acquisitions, discoveries and new licence awards in the past year.

“We have added valuable properties through corporate activity and the licensing round and we have added material value to existing assets through the drill bit,” he said.
