Eyeing the Lime: PetroQuest to run seismic shoot in Mississippian play

Solid results in the Mississippi Lime of northern Oklahoma have prompted US independent PetroQuest Energy to splash more money on the tight-oil play.

Louisiana-based PetroQuest said it has established production from two more operated Mississippian Lime wells in Oklahoma - PQML #9 in Pawnee County and PQML #8 in Kay County.

The Pawnee County well hit a maximum 24-hour gross production rate of 1291 barrels of oil equivalent, with 87% oil. The Kay Country well came on at a more modest 24-hour peak of 74 barrels of oil.
