Tammany stakes High Island claim

By Upstream staff

Houston-based Tammany Oil & Gas said it had taken a share in oil and gas producing assets in the High Island area of the Gulf of Mexico.

Tammany said the properties, 20 miles (32 kilometres) off Beaumont, Texas, would be owned and operated by its 100% owned Jefferson Block 24 Oil & Gas subsidiary.

Jefferson's partner in the deal is BlueRock Production of Texas, Tammany said.

Production from the field is expected to be 8 million cubic feet of natural gas and 400 barrels of oil per day, it said.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
