ExxonMobil chief executive Rex Tillerson earned more than $18 million in 2006, when the company raked in a record profit of $39.5 billion.
In a filing with US regulators, the world's largest publicly traded company said it awarded Tillerson a pay package worth $18.4 million, including a $1.5 million salary and a $2.8 million bonus. The package also included $13.6 million from stock and option awards.
Tillerson received $482,238 of other compensation including nearly $215,000 for personal security and more than $130,000 for personal use of company aircraft and properties.
He also reaped about $2.1 million from exercising previously awarded options during the year, Reuters reported.
