Celebrate: Subsea 7's Mexican joint venture has been awarded its first contract

Offshore engineering player Subsea 7 has been awarded a $140 million contract by Mexican state-run oil company Pemex.

The contract will see Subsea 7’s Mexican joint venture carry out the engineering, fabrication and installation of a 16-kilometre pipe, two slug catchers and two cantilever structures for Pemex’s Line 60 project in Mexico’s Bay of Campeche.

“Subsea 7 Mexico is very pleased to be awarded this first contract in Mexico,” said Subsea 7’s vice president Gulf of Mexico, Ian Cobban.

“We look forward to delivering this key field development and in doing so further strengthening our relationship with Pemex.”
