Seismic duo in Barents shoot

Seismic shoot: in Barents

Norwegian seismic player Dolphin Geophysical is teaming up with Australian counterpart Searcher Seismic to carry out a new 3D survey in the Norwegian sector of the Barents Sea.

The so-called Rodspurv multi-client shoot is set to kick off in the earlier part of this year’s seismic season over a 2880 square-kilometre area on acreage recently opened up for exploration under Norway’s awards in pre-defined areas (APA) licensing regime.

“Annual APA rounds combined with increasing infrastructure in the region make this an exciting exploration opportunity with industry demand for acreage in the Barents Sea at an all-time high,” the companies said in a joint statement.
