Preparing for take-off: Texon Petroleum prepares to start flow back operations from its seventh Eagle Ford shale well in Texas

Texon Petroleum has commended the successful flow testing of its sixth Eagle Ford shale well in McCullen County, Texas, as it prepares to start flow back operations at its seventh well.

The Australia-listed company said on Tuesday that the Hoskins 3H well, which spudded in October and was drilled to a total measured depth of 5229 metres, had tested at rates of 1751 barrels of oil per day and 1537 million cubic feet of gas per day (2007 bpd of oil equivalent).

The well was on a 22/64-inch choke with a flowing tube pressure of 3201 psi and had previously undergone a 24-stage fracture stimulation programme.
