Cameroon win: Plexus Holdings has won a contract to supply its specialised wellhead equipment to Glencore for gas exploration drilling off West Africa

Plexus Holdings has won a contract to supply specialised wellhead equipment to Switzerland-based commodities producer Glencore for gas exploration drilling off Cameroon.

The UK-listed engineering company said on Tuesday that the circa GBP700,000 ($1.13 million) order involved the provision of its high pressure/high temperature 15,000 psi POS-GRIP wellhead equipment for one well, with an option to increase to three wells.

Plexus said this was the first contract it has entered with Glencore and strengthened its growing presence in West Africa, and Cameroon in particular.
