RWE Dea nets Norwegian acreage

RWE Dea has scooped another pair of production licences in Norway, one of which hands the Germany outfit operatorship.

The Hamburg-based group has been given operatorship of PL 694 in the northern part of the Norwegian Sea with a 40% stake.

The licence is in the same area as RWE’s operated licences PL330, PL 653 and PL 654.

The German has also been handed a 20%, non-operating stake in PL 682 in the northern part of the North Sea.

It is near its operated PL 420 licence – which contains the Titan discovery – and the Gjao field on PL 418 – containing the Skarfield prospect, in which RWE is a partner.
