North Energy in licence shift

Revolving door: on Norwegian Sea licence

North Energy has carried out a revamp of ownership interests in one of its licences that will see a wildcat being drilled at the Scarecrow prospect in the Norwegian Sea once a rig has been secured.

The farm-down in production licence 510 leaves North Energy with a 20% stake, while Maersk Oil has come in as operator with 50% and another new partner, Edison International, has 30%.

The new licence partnership has decided to drill an exploration well in the licence, which lies in the Haltenbanken area.
