Kulczyk: Ukraine well commercial

Polish explorer Kulczyk Oil Ventures has confirmed a commercial gas discovery at one of its plays in Ukraine.

The company said it flowed natural gas from the Krutogorovskoye-7 (K-7) exploration well on the Krutogorovskoye near the city of Lugansk.

The well was spudded in September reaching total depth in November when Kulczyk indicated it had hit multiple gas zones, pointing to a potential commercial discovery.

Wireline logging had indicated five potential gas zones in the Bashkirian and Serpukhovian intervals. Production testing has now produced flows.

The well has been shut in to observe pressures with production expected in the third quarter after the building of a 1.7 kilometre pipeline.
