Aker scores Statoil subsea deal

Norway's Aker Solutions has scooped yet another contract award from Statoil for the compatriot state oil giant's Aasta Hansteen development.

The company landed the 2 billion Norwegian kroner ($367.45 million) deal from Statoil to supply a subsea production system to the field development off Norway.

It follows a $50.67 million deep-water umbilicals order from Statoil for the same development just a week ago.

The latest contract calls for Aker to supply three template manifolds, seven subsea trees and a number of wellheads, controls and workover & tie-in systems.
