Eni gets green light for Jangkrik

Green light: SMKigas has approved the plan of development of Eni's Jangkrik North East field

Indonesian upstream regulator SKMigas has approved the plan of development for Eni’s Jangkrik North East field in East Kalimantan.

Local media quoted newly appointed SKMigas chief Rudi Rubiandini as saying the regulator had given the nod to the $1.4 billion development.

“The field will go on stream in 2015, and will reach plateau in 2016 with production at 145.5 million metric standard cubic feet per day,” Rudi was quoted as saying by the Jakarta Globe.

He added that the field contained about 400 billion cubic feet of natural gas that could be extracted.
