Batam boost: McDermott's Malaysian yard to serve Kepodang contract win

Engineering group McDermott International has as expected been awarded a key contract for Petronas’ Kepodang gas development off Indonesia.

McDermott senior vice president Scott Cummins said that the win in what was a competitively tendered project was “not only a strong testament of our capabilities [but] also shows the client’s confidence in our ability to deliver the best value”.

He added that procurement engineering was already underway with fabrication to be completed at McDermott’s local Batam yard.
