Apply wins key to door on Martin Linge

Apply has won a prestigious deal to deliver a living quarters module for the topsides of Total’s Martin Linge platform off Norway.

The Norwegian contractor has signed a letter of intent for the unit with South Korean yard Samsung Heavy Industries, which is the topsides contractor on the fabrication project together with Technip of France.

The contract covers the supply of  a 3700 square-metre, seven-storey quarters module with 95 single cabins, including a helicopter deck, and will be executed by Apply’s LQ & Helidecks division. No value was disclosed for the deal.

Engineering work on the steel module will start immediately with delivery scheduled for the second quarter of 2016, in time for scheduled field start-up later that year.
