Irish player touts gas potential of Albanian offshore block as it extends time for farm-out process

Irish explorer San Leon Energy has bumped up resource estimates for its Durresi block off Albania and given potential farm-in suitors more time to assess its potential, with “major multinationals” among those beating a path to the door of its data room.

The block’s prospective Alban structure is now estimated by San Leon’s management to hold around 3.2 trillion cubic feet of gas and 145 million barrels of condensate in mean resources.

Estimates for the already identified leads and prospects on the block, wholly owned by San Leon, indicate it contains unrisked mean case recoverable prospective resources of up to 2 billion barrels…
