Oceaneering nabs $45 million BP contract

BP contract: Oceaneering brings in new riser work

Oceaneering will supply umbilicals for BP’s Quad 204 Field development off the UK adding $45 million to backlog, the company said Thursday.

The two riser and five infield units, which will supply power and chemicals to subsea trees and production manifolds, are about 19 kilometres long combined.

Construction will start at Oceaneering’s Rosyth, Scotland facility in the first quarter of 2013 with completion slated for the second quarter of 2015.

Oceaneering and the UK supermajor signed a 10-year global subsea hardware agreement in 2012.
