Khandelwal quits Jubilant

Jubilant Energy is hunting for a new chief executive after Ajay Khandelwal left the Indian explorer with immediate effect.

The London-listed player gave no explanation for the sudden exit, saying only that Khandelwal was leaving "by mutual agreement and with immediate effect".

A spokesperson for Jubilant could not be drawn on the reason behind the swift departure but mentioned that Khandelwal is off to pursue other business interests, without elaborating.

The company has already started the search for a replacement but in the interim chief operating officer Ramesh Bhatia and chief financial officer Vipul Agarwal will share the chief executive duties. Agarwal was not in the office on Friday to answer questions…
