Control contract: UK's Proserv gains new North Sea work

Aberdeen technologists to provide subsea controls for Taqa Bratani and another North Sea operator

Aberdeen based technology services outfit Proserv has secured two new subsea control contracts worth more than £15 million ($23.37 million) altogether for Taqa Bratani and another UK North Sea operator.

Under one contract, Proserv will implement a subsea system to control three wells situated around 16 kilometres from the Tern platform at the Cladhan field for Taqa Bratani.

The second contract award with “a leading operator” will install a system to control a number of wells and manifolds using fibre-optic communications and high-speed data monitoring.
