Buccaneer brings Kenai well on stream

Australia’s Buccaneer Energy has started producing from its Kenai Loop-4 well in Alaska’s Cook Inlet basin.

The company said the well at its wholly-owned Kenai Loop project has been flowing gas at an initial rate of 2 million cubic feet per day since Sunday.

It is estimated to have a long-term output rate of 3 to 4 MMcfd. This is in addition to Buccaneer’s current production of 6.5 MMcfd from the Kenai Loop-1 well, which started producing a year ago.
