ADX starts Romanian shoot

Romania: the Parta permit covers 1221 square kilometres in the southern Pannonian basin

Australia-listed ADX Energy has kicked off an almost 400-square kilometre seismic programme at its Parta Block onshore Romania.

The company said on Wednesday that the 190-square kilometre 2D and 200-square kilometre 3D shoots were expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2013.

Subject to weather conditions, this would allow for the first Parta exploration well to be drilled as early as the fourth quarter, ADX said.

Under the permit’s committed work programme, ADX, as the operator, is required to acquire the 2D and 3D seismic and drill two exploration wells by May 2015.
