Norway’s Kleven yard has won a Nkr700 million ($127.7 million) order from GC Rieber Shipping for an advanced ice-classed seismic vessel capable of working in Arctic waters, with an option for a second unit.
The
harsh-environment
vessel,
based
on
the
ST
324XT
design
from
Skipsteknisk
and
with
an
ICE
IA
classification,
is
scheduled
for
delivery
from
Kleven’s
Myklebust
yard
in
March
2015.
The
contract,
still
subject
to
board
approval,
increases
Kleven’s
order
book
to
a
total
of
15
vessels
worth
a
total
of
around
Nkr8.1
billion.
