picked
Matagorda
County
for
the
600,000-tonne
per
year
plant
proposed
last
June.
“Our
new
facility
will
complement
our
integrated
global
manufacturing
network
and
work
closely
with
our
existing
North
American
operations
to
further
strengthen
domestic
production,”
Tenaris
chief
executive
Paolo
Rocca
said
in
a
statement.
The
project
aims
to
serve
pipe
demand
from
expanding
US
shale
production.
It
is
expected
to
open
in
2016
and
generate
600
manufacturing
jobs.
