Titan spuds second Texan well

Texas: Titan has spudded a second well on the northern flank of the Allen Dome salt dome

Australia's Titan Energy has spudded an exploration well on the Allen Dome salt dome oilfield, onshore Texas in the US.

The JT Reese-S2 well is being drilled to a total depth of 5200 feet and will target five separate horizons on the northern flank of the Allen Dome salt dome.

Titan said that each of the sands had been estimated to hold the potential to produce at roughly 50 barrels per day if the well encounters commercial hydrocarbons.

The spudding of JT Reese-S2 comes just days after Titan started drilling the JT Reese-1 well, also on the northern flank of the Allen Dome.
