Statoil hands mooring gig to DOF Subsea

Norwegian services player DOF Subsea has won a contract to complete work on Statoil’s floating production and storage installations in the North Sea.

The work involves changing out mooring segments on the Njord B floating storage unit and the Norne floating production, storage and offtake unit, off Norway.

The company’s support vessel Skandi Skolten will be used to complete the work while the floating units remain in production.

According to DOF, the offshore portion of the contract is due to start in the third quarter of this year and will take about 40 days.
