2H confirms riser gig for Delta House

Engineering outfit 2H Offshore has formally announced a contract win to provide the detailed design of steel catenary risers for LLOG Exploration's Delta House development in the US Gulf of Mexico deep-water.

The risers will be the first to be attached to the semi-submersible Exmar OPTI-11000, the massive production platform that will be installed at LLOG's Son of Bluto 2 and Marmalard fields.

A total of 18 risers can be hung from the semisub, giving LLOG the option for fuyure expansion. LLOG has said it expects more tie-backs over time.

Upstream reported in January that 2H would be supplying the risers for the project.

Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
