Songa extension for semisub

More work: for Songa Venus

Norwegian rig contractor Songa Offshore has secured a $21 million extension for its 1975-built semi-submersible Songa Venus under a sub-let with Malaysian client Petronas.

The unit is being farmed out to Mubadala Petroleum to drill four firm wells off Vietnam and Malaysia under current contract terms, with the extension to keep the rig busy until October.
