Norwegian rig contractor Songa Offshore has secured a $21 million extension for its 1975-built semi-submersible Songa Venus under a sub-let with Malaysian client Petronas.
The
unit
is
being
farmed
out
to
Mubadala
Petroleum
to
drill
four
firm
wells
off
Vietnam
and
Malaysia
under
current
contract
terms,
with
the
extension
to
keep
the
rig
busy
until
October.
