The
company
has
landed
the
deal
worth
over
$100
million
to
provide
hook-up
and
commissioning
services
for
the
projects
in
the
West
of
Shetland
region.
The
work,
for
the
two
new
bridge-linked
platforms,
will
run
all
the
way
through
to
2016.
The
platforms
are
set
for
installation
in
2015
with
first
production
the
following
year.
Amec
said
the
deal
-
handed
out
by
operator
BP
in
conjunction
with
partners
Shell,
ConocoPhillips
and
Chevron
–
is
worth
£68
million
($102.2
million).
Amec
had
already
won
a
$150
million
contract
in
late
2011
to
design
the
platforms
for
the
giant
£4.5
billion
