Alliance, Repsol JV start-up Russian field

Cheer: AROG has started production from the Syskonsyninskoye field in Russia

A joint venture between Repsol and Alliance Oil,A&R Oil & Gaz (AROG), has started commercial gas production from the Syskonsyninskoye field in Russia's Khanty-Mansiysk region.

Repsol said on Thursday that initial output from Syskonsyninskoye was averaging 5350 barrels of oil equivalent per day from three of the five production wells drilled so far on the field.

”The first successful start-up through AROG is especially satisfying for us as we contribute to unlock the great potential of an area which will continue to supply large volumes of gas to the domestic market in coming years,” general manager for Repsol Russia, Fernando Martinez Fresneda, said.
