ABB inks Shell Norway contract

Engineering firm pens $260 million deal to provide services at two onshore and offshore projects

Shell has handed a lucrative service contract to engineering behemoth ABB covering a platform and onshore plant in Norway.

The nine-year deal to provide integrated services and support to the Draugen offshore facility and Ormen Lange onshore gas processing plant is worth $260 million, ABB said on Thursday.

There are also two options to extend the contract by another two years each as well as room for future expansions, tie-ins and upgrades at the oil and gas plants.
