Lakach deal: Emilio Lozoya Austin-led Pemex hands out contract

Pemex has dished out a contract to oversee one of the Mexican state oil giant’s natural gas deep-water plays.

Petrofac of the UK and France’s Doris Engineering have landed the project management contract involving the Lakach project north-west of Coatzacoalcos in Veracruz state.

The pair will provide assistance and supervision for the construction, installation, commissioning, testing and start-up of the wells and infrastructure.

The contract, the value of which has not been disclosed, also encompasses drilling activities and tie-ins to the existing onshore facilities. It should be completed towards the end of 2015.
