Saipem’s
bid
to
supply
the
system,
which
is
based
on
steel
lazy
wave
technology,
in
September
last
year
and
subsequently
awarded
the
Italian
contractor
the
engineering,
procurement,
fabrication,
installation
and
pre-commissioning
contract
for
the
system.
The
Sapinhoa
North
field
requires
27
risers,
of
which
at
least
12
will
be
rigid,
in
addition
to
a
free-standing
gas
export
system
and
pipeline
end
terminations.
Wood
Group
Kenny
had
provided
tender
support
work
and
conceptual
riser
engineering
to
Saipem
in
Paris
at
the
original
bidding
stage
last
