Kentz inks Canadian oil sands deal

Shares in Kentz Corp have begun to rise slightly on Thursday after the company revealed a “significant” contract for work in Canada’s oil sands.

The London-listed services company has inked the commissioning agreement with Imperial Oil Resources Ventures to provide support to operations in the Athabasca oil sands of Alberta.

Kentz did not disclose the contract value but said it was “significant” to the company and would run through to 2016.

The contract will be executed through Kentz’s technical support services unit.

Shares were up over 2% before the opening of trading on Thursday morning.
