Pertamina 'in talks on West Qurna' - report

Indonesian state oil company Pertamina is in talks to take up to a 20% stake in ExxonMobil's West Qurna 1 oilfield in Iraq, a report claimed on Thursday.

Pertamina is considering the purchase of between 10% and 20% in the ExxonMobil-operated field, Reuters reported on Thursday, quoting Indonesia's chief Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa.

"We have negotiations as there is a possibility of buying 10% or 20% of West Qurna 1," the news wire quoted him as saying at a conference in Baghdad.

An ExxonMobil spokesperson said the company had no comment on the report.
