Norway's Apply to build Dagny living quarters

Accommodation contract: Apply to supply living quarters for Statoil development

Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has subcontracted Norway’s Apply to provide the living quarters for Statoil’s Gina Krog (formerly Dagny) field development.

The Stavanger-headquartered contractor is to supply a six-floor, 3200-square metre living quarters module under the award with delivery slated for the second quarter of 2016.

The module to be built in Stord will feature 70 single cabins, offices, recreation areas, change rooms, central control room and a helicopter deck among other facilities.

Daewoo was awarded the topsides contract for the oil and gas field last month along with Aker Solutions.

Apply’s living quarters and helidecks arm is also currently working on facilities for Canada’s Hebron and Norway’s Edvard Grieg and Martin Linge fields.
