FMC nets more BP work in US

FMC Technologies has penned another agreement with BP for subsea work at a project for the UK supermajor in the UK Gulf of Mexico.

The services stalwart has scooped the contract to build and supply subsea equipment in support of the second phase of the Mad Dog field development.

FMC Technologies is to supply subsea trees, manifolds, and jumper equipment for the development near Green Canyon Block 825. The development is about 240 kilometres south of New Orleans and in 1550 metres of water.

Unveiling the deal on Tuesday, FMC did not reveal the value of the contract for the 1 billion-barrel-plus BP project.
