Chesapeake signs CPF deal

Chesapeake Energy has handed a Houston-based engineering outfit a contract to design a central production facility for one of the gas giant’s onshore plays in the US.

Strategy Engineering & Consulting has scooped the award for the facility to be put to work on the Eagle Ford shale and located at Dimmit County, Texas.

Strategy will be in charge of project management, engineering, design, construction management, commissioning and start-up of the San Pedro facility.

The sweet oil production facility will be designed to produce 30,000 barrels per day of oil with expected start-up in the third quarter this year.

Strategy did not reveal the contract value.
