Solstad in AHTS sale deal

Sailing away: Solstad is selling the Normand Mjolne

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Shipping is offloading one of its older units in a charter-and-sale deal.

GSP Antares is taking the anchor-handling tug supply vessel Normand Mjolne on bareboat charter for two years.

However, after the charter period, GSP has an “obligation” to buy the 1985-built vessel “at a pre-agreed price”, Solstad said on Wednesday.

The Oslo-listed owner did not, however, reveal the charter rate or purchase price.

The charter will begin in April.
