Mubadala nets Indonesian block

Middle Eastern operator Mubadala Petroleum has scooped a production sharing contract in Indonesia along with Japanese giant Inpex.

The Abu Dhabi-based player has landed the licence for the West Sebuku Block which it will operate with a 75.5% stake. Inpex will hold the remaining 24.5%.

The partners will soon press for 3D seismic over the acreage which is adjacent to the Sebuku Block where Mubadala is also the operator.

The company is developing the Ruby gas field nearby together with Inpex and France’s Total. First gas is expected towards the end of this year.
