Pemex contractors injured in explosion

Fire: three contractors have been injured after an explosion on a pipeline in Mexico

Pemex said today that three contract workers were injured when a piece of heavy machinery hit a hydrocarbons pipeline, causing an explosion and fire near a processing plant in Tabasco State, Mexico.

The company said the injured workers belonged to a company it has hired for some work.  

Pemex said the fire was the result of a front-loader owned by a private individual hitting the pipeline at the Cinco Presidentes-La Vents processing complex .

The company said the fire has been has been extinguished. No other details were available.
