Houston minnow Index Oil & Gas has started gas production from its Serrano discovery in Victoria County, Texas.

Index said the well had been flowing at an average 275,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 6/64-inch choke since coming on line earlier this month.

The company holds a 37.5% working interest and a 28.125% revenue interest in the well, which has been renamed the Friedrich Gas Unit 1.
