ATR management takes control

By Upstream staff

Aberdeen tool rental and offshore services group ATR said it planned to double turnover within the next three years after being bought out by a management team.

ATR has been taken over by its management led by investors Robert Skidmore and Keith Moorhouse. The team bought the business from founders Brian Notman and David Forsyth, who set up the company in 1994.

ATR comprises five separate companies with total turnover of £12 million ($23.7) and 85 staff. The company plans to boost the workforce through a domestic and overseas expansion, it said.

The companies in the group are Aberdeen Tool Rental, ATR Plant Services, ATR Hydraulics, ATR Engineering and ATR Industrial Supplies.
