Shale boom: EIA says output to climb amid higher prices

The US Energy Information Administration on Tuesday raised its estimate for US natural gas production in 2014 to 2.5% over 2013's record-high level, due primarily to higher output from shale plays in the Lower 48 states, according to a report.
