Gazprom and Urals strike gas deal

Russian gas monopoly Gazprom said today it had signed a co-operation agreement with Urals Energy under which it would buy gas from Urals' Dulisma field.

Gazprom said in a statement that Urals would put Dulisma into operation in 2008-2009 and Gazprom would buy gas from the field to supply the Irkutsk region,

It also said the two companies might jointly finance the construction of a gas pipeline in the Irkutsk region that would be owned by Gazprom.
