Index spuds at Fern Lake
Houston-based Index Oil & Gas spudded its George Cason-1 well on the Fern Lake prospect in Nacogdoches County, Texas, it said.
The well, which reached casing point at 3521 feet yesterday after drilling started last week, is targetting prospects in the Cretaceous Travis Peak sandstone below 9734 feet. The well will also explore secondary targets in the overlying Rodessa, James Lime and Pettet intervals.
The well will have a total depth of 10,500 feet, and is expected to take one month to drill, Index said.
