Petrofac gains $630m UK deal

Maintaining business: Petrofac rehired by EnQuest for UK operations & maintenance

Services player retained by EnQuest for North Sea assets

UK services giant Petrofac has seen compatriot EnQuest double the length of the pair’s operations and maintenance contract to make a ten-year deal worth an estimated $630 million.

The contract replaces a five-year deal signed with Petrofac last year that was valued at $300 million when taken together with a duty holder support services contract between the London-listed duo.

EnQuest North Sea president Neil McCulloch said the new deal would aim to continue the UK independent’s high delivery and performance track record.

Petrofac offshore projects and operations managing director Bill Dunnett said that the company’s rehiring was testament to the services player’s capabilities in safety, asset integrity and performance.

Wednesday’s contract will see Petrofac continue to provide operations and maintenance services to EnQuest on the Thistle, Heather and Northern Producer assets.

It will also provide operations and maintenance support for the floating production, storage and offloading vessel the EnQuest Producer, which is currently undergoing final finishing and commissioning work ahead of its deployment to the Alma/Galia oilfield.
